Fender Extension Installation Procedure
All the components listed in "New Components Of 8W4947 Scraper Bowl Group" are required.
1. Fabricate two plates from 25 mm (1") thick structural steel as shown in Illustration 1.
Illustration 1. Dimensions for fabricated plates.2. Remove the grab irons from each of the existing fender assemblies.

Install the 8W7684 and 8W7685 Fender Assemblies on the existing fenders with the existing nuts, bolts, and washers.4. Install the 8W7688 and 8W7709 Support Assemblies of the bottom of the fender extensions with ten 2A1538 Bolts, ten 2J3506 Nuts, and 20 8T4994 Washers as shown in Illustration 3. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

Install one fabricated plate (from Step 1) on each support assembly with four 1A458 Bolts and four 8T4994 Washers. See Illustration 3. Do not tighten the bolts at this time. Weld the fabricated plates in position on the scraper frame.6. Tighten the bolts that fasten the support assemblies to the fender extensions and the bolts that fasten the support assemblies to the frame.7. Install the grab irons (removed in Step 2) as shown in Illustration 4.
