Left side of engine (17) Transmission oil coolerInlet oil to transmission oil pump (31) is delivered from reservoir (24). The oil flows through magnetic screen (29) to transmission oil pump (31). The oil then flows through oil filter (1) to either downshift solenoid (2) or upshift solenoid (3). The oil flows to rotary actuator (4) of transmission selector valve (5). This oil now divides. Some oil flows to pressure control group (7) for transmission clutch engagement. The remainder of the oil from transmission selector valve (5) flows to torque converter (26) .Transmission scavenge pump (32) will pull oil from transfer gear case (28) and transmission oil tank (27). This oil flows through the transmission scavenge screen (30) and transmission scavenge pump (32). The oil then flows to reservoir (24) .The discharge oil from the torque converter (26) flows through the return line for the oil cooler (18) to oil cooler (17). Oil from oil cooler (17) divides. Some of the oil flows through the lube line for the flywheel (16) for lubrication of the flywheel. Some of the oil flows to transmission case (8) for lubrication.Oil in flywheel case (15) flows through the scavenge screen for the flywheel (19), scavenge pump (13) and line (12). The oil then flows to drive shaft bearing cage (10).
