Remove the differential and bevel gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential and Bevel Gear (Rear) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
Remove the differential from the carrier assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential and Bevel Gear - Disassemble" for the machine that is being serviced.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove the bearing cone from the differential.
Remove bolts (1) and the washers that attach the bevel gear to the differential assembly.

Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling.
Use the hoist in order to remove differential assembly (2) from bevel gear (3). The weight of differential assembly (2) is 113 kg (250 lb). The weight of bevel gear (3) is 34 kg (75 lb).

Place the differential assembly on suitable wood blocks.
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove the bearing cone from the opposite end of the differential.
Remove bolts (4) and the washers that hold the differential assembly together.

Install two 5/8" - 11 NC forged eyebolts with nuts through the bolt holes in the case assembly (5) .
Attach a suitable hoist to the eyebolts.
Remove case assembly (5) from differential case (7) .

Remove side gear (6) from the differential case.Note: Side gear (6) is spring loaded.

Remove spring (8) and spring retainer (9) from the differential case.

Remove clutch assembly (10) from the differential case.

Remove spider (11) from the differential case.
Remove clutch assembly (12) from the differential case.
Remove the spring retainer and the spring from the differential case.
Remove the side gear from the differential case.
Remove the differential case bolts (13) .
