Information:

Start by:a. Install steering frame lock pin. The removal and installation is the same for all the tires on the machine. Only one tire is shown.1. Put blocks in front of and behind tires not being removed.
The rear axle housing group is made to oscillate. During removal and installation of the rear tire and rim assemblies, the rear axle housing group must be blocked to prevent it from oscillating. Improper blocking of the rear axle housing assembly can result in possible personal injury.
View With Tire and Rim Assembly Removed2. Put blocks (1) between the rear axle housing and the frame on both sides of the machine as shown. The blocks should have a tight fit. 3. Raise the front or rear of the machine until the tire and rim assembly to be removed is just off the ground.4. Position tooling (A) under the front or tooling (B) under the rear of the machine as shown. 5. Attach a suitable hoist to tooling (C). Position tooling (C) on the tire and rim assembly as shown. Remove sixteen nuts and washers (3) that hold tire and rim assembly (2) to the final drive group. Remove tire and rim assembly (2). The weight of the tire and rim assembly is approximately 398 kg (878 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the tire and rim assemblies.6. Be sure the mating surface of the tire and rim assembly and the final drive group are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to installing the tire and rim assembly. 7. Attach a suitable hoist to tooling (C). Position tooling (C) on tire and rim assembly (2) as shown. Position the tire and rim assembly on the final drive group.8. Install the sixteen washers and nuts that hold the tire and rim assembly to the final drive group. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 140 20 N m (105 15 lb ft). Then retighten all nuts to a final torque of 500 50 N m (370 37 lb ft).9. Raise the front or rear of the machine and remove tooling (A) or (B) from under the machine frame.End by:a. Remove steering frame lock pin.
