14 is used in order to set the speed that is selected when a direction shift is made with the transmission auto/manual switch in the AUTO 1-4 position.
Use the 4C-8195 Control Service Tool to enter Transmission Calibration Mode (8) via the "MODE" switch. Then enter submode 14 by using the "SCROLL" switch.
Use the INCREMENT (+) and DECREMENT (-) positions of the "CLEAR" switch in order to select the desired speed 1-1 or 1-2. 1-1 is the default setting. If 1-1 is selected, the power train ECM will select first speed when a direction shift is made and first speed or second speed is engaged. If 1-2 is selected, the power train ECM will select second speed when a direction shift is made and first speed or second speed is engaged.
To exit submode 14, scroll to the next submode by using the "SCROLL" switch or exit the Transmission Calibration Mode by using the "MODE" switch.
