ACTION REQUIRED
To check for leaks in the oil cooler assembly refer to Systems Operation, Testing, and Adjusting, "Cooling System" for the correct procedure. If a leak is found, install a new oil cooler.
Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Cooler - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler with a High Mounted Filter Base" and "Engine Oil Cooler - Install - Engine Oil Cooler with a High Mounted Filter Base" for the correct procedure to remove and install the oil cooler.
Note:- Ensure the coolant galleries are fully flushed out to alleviate the possibility of repeat claims against the oil cooler (where the root cause is oil residue).
