Introduction
The AccuGrade Site and Laser Reference System for Excavators is an earthmoving tool that uses advanced technology. The system allows operators to trench with less dependence upon the use of the following:

Machine ECM (ARO)The optional laser catcher is mounted on the machine stick in order to allow elevation referencing from a laser beam that emits from a laser transmitter. The laser transmitter is typically mounted on a tripod or a trailer. The laser transmitter emits a thin plane of light that can be used as an elevation reference for grade control. This plane of light creates an elevation reference over the work area and minimizes the need for grade stake.The optional angle sensor for the tilt bucket is only necessary if your excavator is equipped with a tilting bucket.Note: The laser transmitter is not included with the AccuGrade Laser System. Caterpillar recommends the use of a laser transmitter with the following features:
