PROBLEM:
The 144-7871 Wiring harness tags may indicate relationship to the wrong speed sensors.
SOLUTION:
An estimated 50 harnesses may have entered the parts distribution system with this condition. The parts distribution system is being inspected and purged. But some of these harnesses may have already shipped to dealers. The relationship of the wiring harness to the speed sensor can be established by the color of the wires. Inspect the harness and remove the tags if they are mixed. See following illustration for the relationship of each wire pair to its speed sensor.
