CYLINDER PACK AS 0R7700 - Caterpillar

1. Move governor lever (2) to high idle and install spring (5). Move governor lever (2) to vertical position and adjust stop bolt (3) to contact lever (2), back off one turn and lock.2. Position lever (6) on the splined governor shaft to 35 5° from vertical in shut off position.3. Adjust rod end (7) to obtain a free fit of bolt (8) and lever (9).4. Position lever (2) in low idle position. Use a spring scale placed just below knob on governor lever to monitor the force needed to pull the governor lever (2), from low idle to high idle position. Repeat and adjust housing (1) to obtain a force of 40 5 N (9 1 lb).5. With engine running, move governor lever (2) to high idle. At correct high idle rpm adjust high idle stop bolt (4) to contact lever (2) back off one turn and lock.508
1. Assemble end (4) on rod assembly to a length of 935 mm (36.8 in). Tighten nut (3) to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).2. With the governor at the shut off position, install lever (5) at 16.1° forward of vertical as shown. With the governor in the off position adjust rod assembly (2) as necessary so that pedal is 30° forward of vertical.3. Extend cylinder (1) fully. Push rod back into cylinder 2 mm (.079 in). Install cylinder assembly to cab with the governor at shut off position. Install rod end on cylinder (1) so that the threads on the cylinder rod are completely covered.215 And 215B

1. Tighten shim pack (2) to dimension (A) given for required pre-load. Dimension (A) is 7.5 0.5 mm (.295 .020 in).2. With lever (6) on the governor shaft in the off position, adjust cable ends so that rod (1) is in the off position.3. Tighten nuts (4) and (5) to a torque of 45 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).4. Tighten nut (3) to a torque of 8 3 N m (6 2 lb ft).D4B And D4C
1. Tighten shim pack to dimension width (A) of 7.5 0.5 mm (.295 .020 in) from the edge of the spring seat to the washer face.2. Put control lever (2) in the off position. Adjust the length of cable (3) so that the end of rod (1) is in the off position, approximately 5.0 mm (.197 in) from the end of slot in the console guide plate.3. Tighten nut (4) to a torque of 8 3 N m (6 2 lb ft).4. Tighten nuts (6) and (7) to hold cable assembly (5) in its mounting brackets. Tighten nuts to a torque of 45 7 N m (33 5 lb ft).5. Tighten nut on ball joint end (3) to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft).IT18, IT18B, IT28B, 916 And 926
