Information:

Tooling (C) and (D) are the same except for 9S9076 Spacers (5) and the number of 2S0115 Washers (8).3. Install tooling (D) as follows to remove the recoil spring.a. Remove 1B4207 Nuts (7), twelve 3S0115 Washers (8) and 9S9076 Spacers (5) from studs (10).b. Install 2S0115 Washers (8) and 1B4207 Nuts (7) on the studs. Adjust nuts (7) until they are an equal distance from the surface of the front track roller frame.c. Extend hydraulic cylinder (4) until 8M4856 Sleeve (12) makes contact with the plate in the front track roller frame.d. Use only enough pressure to extend the hydraulic cylinder enough to compress the recoil spring so the recoil spring retainer can be turned. Close the 1S8937 Valve, and turn the pump group valve to the "RETRACT CYLINDER ROD" position.e. Use tool (B), and turn recoil spring retainer (13) counterclockwise to move it out of the roller frame 12.7 mm (.50 in). Slowly release the cylinder pressure through the 1S8937 Valve to let the recoil spring extend 12.7 mm (.50 in) [as measured on the hydraulic cylinder when the hydraulic cylinder retracts 12.7 mm (50 in)]. Close the 1S8937 Valve.f. Turn the recoil spring retainer (13) out while the hydraulic cylinder is retracted in 12.7 mm (.50 in) steps (increments) as in Step e until the force of the recoil spring is completely released.4. Remove tooling (D) and recoil spring retainer (13) from the front track roller frame. 5. Remove plate (14) from the front track roller frame. 6. Pull the recoil spring part way out of the front track roller frame. Fasten a hoist to recoil spring (15) and remove it. The weight of the recoil spring is 30 Kg (65 lb).Install Recoil Spring
1. Fasten a hoist to recoil spring (15). Put the recoil spring in position in the front track roller frame. 2. Install plate (14) in the front track roller frame. 3. Install recoil spring retainer in the front track roller frame until it makes contact with plate (14). For correct assembly of tooling (D) see Remove Recoil Spring.4. Install tooling (D) on the front track roller frame as shown. Adjust 1B4207 Nuts (7) until they are an equal distance from the surface of the front track roller frame.
There must never be more than 12.7 mm (.50 in) distance between the recoil spring and the recoil spring retaining nut during installation of the recoil spring.
a. Slowly extend hydraulic cylinder (4) to compress the recoil spring while recoil spring retainer (13) is installed with tool (B).b. When the hydraulic cylinder has been completely extended, hold the recoil spring in position with the recoil spring retainer.c. Retract the hydraulic cylinder. Tooling (D) and (C) are the same except for 9S9076 Spacers (5) and the number of 2S0115 Washers (8).5. Install tooling (C) and install the recoil spring as follows:a. Remove 1B4207 Nuts (7) and four 2S0115 Washers (8).b. Install 9S9076 Spacers (5), twelve 2S0115 Washers (8) and 1B4207 Nuts (7) on studs (10). Adjust the
