Identification #(s)Attached to August 12, 2005 Service LetterRework ProcedureVerify the speed adjust potentiometer is missingfrom the generator set control panel cover. See Illustration 1. Illustration 1If the speed adjust potentiometer is missing, installpotentiometer part number 7E-1246, seal-rotary shaft part number 7C4550,and knob part number 4W5972 as shown in Illustrations 1 & 2. Attachmentwires will be found in the main harness. Wire #44 is red, wire #43 is blue,and wire #42 is yellow. With reference to wiring diagram 234-3202 for EMCPIIor wiring diagram 235-0745 for EMCPII+, solder wire #44 (red) to potentiometerterminal 1, solder wire #43 (blue) to potentiometer terminal 2, and solderwire #42 (yellow) to potentiometer terminal 3 as shown in Illustration2 and Diagram 1.
