Note : Make sure that the correct seal is installed on each end of the crankshaft.
1 1 436-1479 Crankshaft Seal Do not separate the wear sleeves from the crankshaft seals. Once the wear sleeves and crankshaft seals are separated, the crankshaft seals cannot be used.
Install the seal group in the bearing carrier at the rear end of the crankshaft for standard rotation engines.
2 1 438-3101 Crankshaft Seal Do not separate the wear sleeves from the crankshaft seals. Once the wear sleeves and crankshaft seals are separated, the crankshaft seals cannot be used.
Install the seal group in front housing on standard rotation engines.
3 - - Install the seal group in front housing on standard rotation engines at distance (B) of 0.5 0.5 mm (0.02 0.02 inch).
Install the seal group in the bearing carrier at the rear end of the crankshaft for standard rotation engines at distance (C) of 1.0 0.5 mm (0.04 0.02 inch).
Install the seals dry.
