Information:
1. Hold the filter housing to keep it from turning and loosen the center post.2. Lower the center post and housing away from the body.3. Check the filter element and note the types and amounts of contamination. If there is excessive contamination, the hydraulic oil should be drained from the tank, the tank cleaned and refilled with clean oil and all the filter elements changed.
EXCESSIVE METAL PARTICLES IN THE OIL OR DISCOLORATION OF THE OIL ARE AN INDICATION OF AN IMPENDING COMPONENT FAILURE. LOCATING THE CAUSE OF THE CONTAMINATION CAN HELP PREVENT FUTURE PROBLEMS.
4. Discard the old filter element.5. If the inside of the filter housing is dirty, clean it with clean nonflammable solvent and blow it dry. DO NOT CLEAN ANY O-RINGS OR SEALS WITH SOLVENT.6. Examine all O-rings and seals. Replace any that appear faulty.7. Reassemble the filter housing, spring, seals, O-rings and center post with a new filter element. BE SURE THE CORRECT ELEMENT IS USED.8. Install the filter housing on the filter body. Hold the housing from turning while tightening the center post, or the O-ring between the housing and the body may be stretched out of shape and cause leaking. Tighten the center post to a MAXIMUM OF 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).Changing The Differential Oil
THE DIFFERENTIAL OIL MUST BE DRAINED AND REFILLED IN THREE SEPARATE COM-COMPARTMENTS; THE CENTER COMPARTMENT AND BOTH END COMPARTMENTS.
INADVERTENT ENGAGEMENT OF THE DRIVE SYSTEM COULD CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH.
1. Remove the drain plugs and allow the oil to drain.2. Install the drain plugs and remove the check plugs.3. Add lubricant through the check plug ports until check plug level is reached. (See page 5-1 for lubricant specifications.)4. Install the check plugs.Changing The Two Speed Transmission Oil

AT OPERATING TEMPERATURES THE TRANSMISSION OIL AND FILTER HOUSING CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS. LET THE MACHINE STAND IDLE UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION OIL HAS COOLED AND THE FILTER HOUSING IS COMFORTABLE TO TOUCH.
1. Unscrew the element from the filter head. Be sure the gasket comes off with the element.2. Coat the gasket of the new element with clean C3 hydraulic oil.3. Screw the element onto the filter head until the gasket is seated in the gasket groove.4. Turn the element 1/2 to 3/4 turn more.5. Check the transmission oil level, add oil if necessary, start the engine and check for oil leaks around the filter element.Cleaning And Repacking The Front Wheel Bearings
