WE-601B WINDROW ELEVATORThe Model 601 Windrow Elevators are designed to scoop up asphalt that has been left in a windrow, move the asphalt up and back, and then dump the asphalt into the hopper of an asphalt paver. A diesel engine provides the power for the slat conveyor that does the actual moving of the asphalt, but propulsion for the Elevator must be provided by the asphalt paver to which the Elevator is pin-connected. A hydraulic pump driven by an electrical motor supplies the hydraulic pressure to extend two hydraulic cylinders which lift the front of the conveyor. A tow bar on the front of the machine can be lowered for towing or bolted in a vertical position for paving.
