This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS5652" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from Parts Stock as soon as possible.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the June 4, 1999 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product.

A new speed override (brake) valve that resists corrosion needs to be installed on certain D3C III, D4C III, D5C III Track Type Tractors and 933C and 939C Track Type Loaders. In some climates and applications the service brake pedal can become difficult to operate due to corrosion buildup between the valve stem and the body of the 1171712 Speed Override (Brake) Valve. This can cause the service brake pedal not to fully apply the parking brake switch.
