CYLINDER & MTG GP-SIDE PLATE 1129873 - Caterpillar

Do not attempt to move the machine without normal air pressure. Be sure the body is fully lowered and the hoist control is in FLOAT (fully down).Ensure there is adequate all round clearance. Apply the service brake and release the parking brake. Move the transmission selector lever to the desired speed and direction. Release the service brake and depress the accelerator so that the truck moves off smoothly and easily without producing heavy exhaust smoke. To stop the machine release the accelerator and apply the service brake. When the machine is stopped apply the park brake, move the transmission selector lever to neutral and release the service brake. If the service brake does not stop the machine pull the parking brake lever backward as far as necessary to stop the machine safely. When the machine stops move the lever to the PARK position and move the transmission selector lever to neutral.
Do not move the handle fully back into the park position.The wheels may lock causing a skid and the brakes will take longer to release to regain control.Keep the lever under the control of your hand until the truck stops before moving it into the detented park position.On machines so equipped the drive line park brake must be disassembled and inspected after an emergency stop.
