PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Refer to RENR8859, Disassembly and Assembly, in order to perform the steps below.
1. Connect the steering frame lock.
2. Raise the lift arm assembly and support the lift arm and work tool.
3. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to the machines Operation and Maintenance Manual for instructions on how to release hydraulic system pressure.
4. Remove the cover on the non-engine end frame in order to gain access to the implement valve and lines.
5. Clean debris from implement valve, lift lines, and manifold. Cover/plug/cap all ports in order to prevent contamination.
6. Replace the failed tube with a 371-3780 Tube Assembly, split flanges, seals, bolts, washers, and 369-6069 Hose Assembly that are in the Parts Needed list.
7. Weld the 131-8684 Plate according location in Image1.1.2.
For the 966H field set-up (weld plate location), refer to Image1.1.2 and 1.1.3. View from the inside wall of left side of machine. Dimensions are from top face of plate to bottom face of valve mounting plate (178.9 mm), and rear face of plate to drive shaft bearing plate face(432.2mm).
The dimensions shown in Image1.1.2 and 1.1.3 can be used for the field to easily locate the 131-8684 Plate.
Image1.1.4 shows the 371-3780 Tube Assembly and the 369-6069 Hose Assembly installed.

8. Check the hydraulic oil level as described in the machines Operation and Maintenance Manual. Add hydraulic oil if necessary.
9. Operate the machine and check for leaks. Add hydraulic oil if necessary.
10. Install the cover on the non-engine end frame.
Note: This program only covers the replacement of the 321-1173 Tube Assembly with a new 371-3780 Tube Assembly and 369-6069 Hose Assembly, as related in the Parts Needed List.
