CYLINDER GP-BUCKET 1211518 - Caterpillar

1. Fasten a hoist and remove the hood over the engine and transmission. Weight of the hood over the engine is 24 kg (53 lb.). Weight of the hood over transmission is 35 kg (77 lb.).2. Remove the coolant from the engine.3. Remove pipe (1) and tube (2). 4. Remove tubes (3) and the elbow as a unit and tube (7) from the aftercooler. Disconnect tube (5) from the aftercooler.5. Remove adapter (6) from both ends of the aftercooler.6. Remove bolts (4) from the cover. 7. Remove two bolts (9) and cover (8). 8. Remove core (10) from the aftercooler. Remove O-ring seals (11) from the core. 9. Remove two bolts (12), six bolts (13) and aftercooler housing (14) from the cylinder head.Install Aftercooler
1. Put aftercooler housing (1) in position on the cylinder head and install six bolts (2). 2. Install two bolts (3) on the inside of the aftercooler housing. 3. Install O-ring seal (5) on both ends of aftercooler core (4). Install the aftercooler core in the housing. 4. Install adapter (6) with a gasket in the end of the housing and over the end of the aftercooler core. 5. Install cover (7) and plates (8) on the aftercooler housing. 6. Install adapter (11) with a gasket in the end of the cover and over the end of the aftercooler core.7. Install tubes (10) and (12).8. Connect tube (9) to the end of the cover. 9. Install pipe (13) on the cover. Install tube (14) on the muffler.10. Fill the radiator to the correct level with coolant.11.
