Removal Procedure
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Place the bucket onto the ground.

Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove clip (2). Repeat for the other side.

Attach a suitable lifting device to bucket cylinder (5). The weight of bucket cylinder (5) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Remove bolt (4) and pin assembly (3). Remove nuts (7) and bolt (6). Remove pin (8). Remove bucket cylinder (5).Disassembly and Assembly Information

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.
Note: Tooling (B) is used for the removal of the bearings that are located at the rod end and the head end of the bucket cylinder.

(2) Tighten plug (2) to a torque of 76.4 3.8 N m (56.3 2.8 lb ft). (3) Tighten bolt (3) to a torque of 17.2 0.9 N m (152.2 8.0 lb in). (A) The diameter of rod (A) is 45 mm (1.7 inch). (B) The bore of cylinder assembly (B) is 75 mm (3.0 inch). (4) Tighten setscrew (4) to a torque of 16.2 N m (143.4 lb in). After you tighten setscrew (4), stake setscrew (4) in two places. (5) Tighten piston (5) to a torque of 1030 N m (760 lb ft). (6) The bore diameter of bushing (6) is 45 mm (1.8 inch). (7) Before assembly, apply Tooling (A) to the threads of head (7). Tighten head (7) to a torque of 422 N m (311 lb ft).Installation Procedure
