Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Open door (1).
Illustration 2 g03700136Note: Do not attempt to pry or pull the tab out of the connection on diesel exhaust fluid line (2), as damage will occur. Push down on the fitting and push the tab inward before pulling out in order to disconnect diesel exhaust fluid line (2).
Disconnect diesel exhaust fluid line (2) and the O-ring seal.

Open grill assembly (3). Remove clips (4). Pull diesel exhaust fluid line (2) through the grommet.

Remove cover assembly (5).

Disconnect harness assembly (6). Remove diesel exhaust fluid line (2). Installation Procedure
Install diesel exhaust fluid line (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seals inside diesel exhaust fluid line (2).
