Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Place the propel control lever in NEUTRAL.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.

Rear Vibratory Motor
(1) T1 port
(2) T2 port
Disconnect hose from T1 (1). Cap the port and plug the hose. Note: If the front motor is being tested, disconnect the hose from the T2 port. Cap the port and plug the hose.
Disconnect hose from T2 port (2), and install Tool A. Orient the flow meter in the direction of flow. The flow travels from the motor to the return manifold. Note: If the front motor is being tested, disconnect the hose from the T1 port, and install Tool A.
Start and operate the engine at HIGH IDLE at 2370 50 rpm. Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool B. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43° 5.6°C (110° 10°F).
Read the flow on Tool A. The flow should be less than 3.5 L/min (1.0 US gpm). Note: Motor case drain flow cannot be adjusted. If the case drain flow is greater than the specification, the motor may need to be repaired.
Stop the engine. Remove Tool A. Reconnect the hoses to T1 port (1) and T2 port (2). Repeat for the other vibratory motor.
