PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Insert camshaft timing pin the engine in accordance with KENR5397 "Camshaft Timing".
2. Disconnect harness assemblies (3). Remove bolts (4). Remove cover (5). Remove bolts (2). Remove lifting bracket (1).
3. Remove bolts (6). Remove cover (7).

4. Remove bolts (8). Remove bolt (9). Remove spacer (10). Remove cam gear (11).

5. Remove the 347-4872 Thrust Washer. Install the new 375-5133 Thrust Washer. Apply 9S-3263 Thread Adhesive to the new 6V5839 Bolts. Tighten the bolts to 55 +/- 10 N.m (41 +/- 7 lb ft). Loosen the bolts. Tighten the bolts again to 55 +/- 10 N.m (41 +/- 7 lb ft). Refer to Image1.3.1.
The steel backing plate is reusable.

6. Perform previous steps in reverse order. Standard torque applies to all fasteners.
