Illustration 3.In Service Manual Module, SENR5236, on Pages 27 and 32, photo C41624P1 and photo C41623P1 are incorrect and should be replaced with Illustration 1 and Illustration 2, respectively in order to show the correct orientation of the bent tab washer. On Pages 27 and 32 insert Illustration 3 between Illustrations 1 and 2.
In Service Manual Module, SENR6706, on Pages 20 and 25, photo C41624P1 and photo C41623P1 are incorrect and should be replaced with Illustration 1 and Illustration 2, respectively in order to show the correct orientation of the bent tab washer. On Pages 20 and 25 insert Illustration 3 between Illustrations 1 and 2.
Illustration 4.In Service Manual Module, SENR5236, Page 31, and Service Manual Module, SENR6706, Page 24; insert Illustration 4 above Step 26 and add the following information to Step 26:
26. Install a FT-2530 Rolling Torque Bar (H) on the axle shaft housing. With no bearing preload, rotate the axle shaft housing using a torque wrench. Record the rolling torque from the seal drag needed to rotate the axle shaft housing, or if the tools are not available, use the formula in Step 26.In Service Manual Module, SENR5236, Page 31, and Service Manual Module, SENR6706, Page 24; add the following information to Step 27:
27. While turning the axle housing with a torque wrench and Tooling (D) tighten bearing nut (12) so that the rolling torque with preload is 4.0 to 9.0 N m (36to 80 lb in).
