Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect tube assemblies (4).
Remove bolts (2). Note: Be sure not to turn adjusting screws (1).
Remove lubrication metering pump (3). Remove the coupling. Be careful not to damage the coupling when the coupling is being removed. Remove the O-ring seal. Installation Procedure

Illustration 2 g00608123Note: Check the O-ring seal for wear or damage. Replace the O-ring seal, if necessary.
Install the O-ring seal. Install lubrication metering pump (3).
Install bolts (2).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of tube assemblies (4). Connect tube assemblies (4).
Check the position of adjusting screws (1). Refer to Specifications, "Inlet Valve Lubrication Metering Pump".
