Remove The Following Parts From The 7E2679 Block Group
Additional Parts Needed For Conversion
Making The Change
Apply 9S3263 Thread Lock to all plugs and studs before installation.
1. Remove 3B0551 Plug (3). Discard the plug. It will not be needed for the 992B.2. Remove 1N8068 Plate Assembly (1). Replace with 7S9317 Plate Assembly. Use a new 7N5515 Gasket and the original hardware to mount. Be sure all of the old gasket is removed from the block.3. Remove 3B0551 Plug (4). Install in the 3S7696 Plate Assembly.4. Install 8M9307 Plug (5) and 6F7062 Washer (6) in the 3S7696 Plate Assembly.5. Remove 2W1751 Plate Assembly (2). Replace with 3S7696 Plate Assembly. Use a new 7N5515 Gasket and the original hardware to mount. Be sure all of the old gasket is removed from the block.6. Remove 2S4129 Shaft (9). Replace with 7S8861 Shaft.7. Remove four 0S1591 Bolts (13), four 5M2894 Washers (14), 2W0541 Cover Assembly (15) and 7S0531 Gasket (10) along with 9S4191 Plug (11) and 336042 Seal (12). These parts will not be needed for the 992B. They may be discarded.8. Install 4H5032 Stud (8) to the dimension shown.9. Install 3S0582 Stud (7) to the dimension shown.Crankshaft Modifications
19. Maximum temperature of sleeve (19), when shrinking in place, is 316°C (600°F). 23. Apply SAE 30 oil between seal and mating groove at assembly. Seal must turn freely in groove after assembly. Install seal with the word "OUT" away from the crankcase. 24. Maximum temperature of thrower (24), when shrinking in place, is 150°C (300°F). Runout in seal groove face is not to exceed .15 mm (.006").10. Install 9S1158 Baffle (25), 9S1161 Thrower (24) and 1W5552 Seal (23) with 1S2665 Gasket (18), twelve 0S1594 Bolts (17) and six 1S2666 Locks (16).11. Install 5S0508 Gear (22) with four 2S4447 Locks (21) and eight 3B1915 Bolts (20).12. Install 2P3847 Sleeve (19) to the dimension shown. A new 2P3846 Seal must be used in conjunction with new sleeve (19). Install lip of the seal as shown to the 1.5 mm (.06") dimension. Refer to Section C-C.D10

Apply 9S3263 Thread Lock to all plugs before installation.
1. Remove 3B0551 Plug (2). Install plug (2) in the 3S7696 Plate Assembly.2. Install 8M9307 Plug (6) and 6F7062 Washer (7) in the 3S7696 Plate Assembly.3. Remove 2W1751 Plate Assembly (1). Replace with 3S7696 Plate Assembly. Use a new 7N5515 Gasket and the original hardware to mount. Be sure all of the old gasket is removed from the block.4. Install the 2B0858 Plug in the 7N5813 Cover Assembly.5. Remove four 0S1591 Bolts (3), four 5M2894 Washers (4) and 2W0541 Cover Assembly (5). Discard the bolts and the cover assembly. They are not needed for the D10.6. Using four 0S1588 Bolts and the original washers, replace cover assembly (5) with 7N5813 Cover Assembly. Use a new 7S0531 Gasket when installing the 7N5813 Cover Assembly. Be sure all of the old gasket is removed from the block.
