Removal Procedure
Raise the screed.

Set the extender to zero slope and lower the screed.

Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) .

Remove bolts (3) and adjusters (4) .

Remove nuts (6). Raise the screed and remove screed plate (8). The weight of the screed plate for the AS2251 Screed is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). The weight of the screed plate for the AS2301 Screed is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).
Remove adjusters (7) from studs (5) .

Remove studs (5) from screed plate (8) .
Repeat Steps 6 through 7 for the other extender.Installation Procedure

Raise the screed.

Install studs (5) on screed plate (8). Apply Tooling (A) on the threads of studs (5). Tighten the studs to a torque of 104 N m (77 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads on adjusters (7). Set Dimension (X) to 8.00 mm (0.315 inch).

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads on adjusters (4). Set Dimension (Y) to 6.00 mm (0.24 inch).

Place screed plate (8) under the extender and lower the screed. The weight of the screed plate for the AS2251 Screed is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). The weight of the screed plate for the AS2301 Screed is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).
Install adjusters (7) on studs (5) .
Install nuts (6). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 71 N m (52 lb ft).

Install bolts (3). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 70 N m (52 lb ft).

Install cover (2) and bolts (1) .
Repeat Steps 1 through 9 for the other extender.
Adjust the screed plate. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Screed Plates - Adjust" for the correct procedure.
