2. Remove five bolts (1) and fender (2) from both sides of the machine. 3. Remove four bolts (3) and guard (4) from both sides of the machine. 4. Remove bolt (5) to disconnect the linkage from the transmission. 5. Loosen set screw (6) in the bearing collars on both sides of the machine.6. Remove two bolts (7) from the bearings on both sides of the machine. 7. Loosen nut (8) and tap shaft (10) until shift lever (9) can be removed. Remove the key from the shaft. Repeat this for the other side of the machine. 8. Tap shaft (10) until it is even with the bearing face and remove the shaft assembly out of the top of the machine (differential compartment). The following steps are for the installation of the transmission shift assembly.9. Install the bearings on the shaft and put the shaft assembly in position in the machine.10. Install the keys and the shift levers on both sides of the machine and fasten with nuts (8).11. Fasten the bearing with bolts (7) and tighten set screws (6) on both sides of the machine.12. Fasten the linkage to the transmission with bolt (5).13. Install guards (4) and fenders (2) on both sides of the machine.14. Before operating the machine, check the shift lever for proper operation.
