--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------The service parts replacement with the beveled cross section, nosing bars for the former production VIP screeds now have a curved cross section profile. In addition, the main portion of the screed is serviced with three, rather than the former two nosing bars. This configuration is similar to the design used with the current production 10-20B Extend-A-Mat screeds. In some paving applications, the profile change may improve screed performance and wear plate life. The three piece design for the main screed will prevent mat gouging with extreme crowning positions.
The new nosing bars are directly adaptable to all VIP screeds. It is extremely important that NO nosing bar profile mixing occurs during replacement. Mixing configurations (e.g., curved on the main, and beveled on the extenders) will result in adverse screed performance.
The following charts list the new nosing bar part numbers. (One each is required per screed change.)
