Removal Procedure
Start By:
Relieve the system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
Turn the ignition key to the accessory position. Do not start the engine. Relieve the pressure in the braking system. Refer to Systems Operation,Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting". Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

The accumulator is mounted on the inside right of the rear frame.
Disconnect hose assembly (3) from accumulator (1) and remove the O-ring seal. Remove nut (2) that secures the accumulator to the mounting bracket.Installation Procedure

The accumulator is mounted on the inside right of the rear frame.
Position accumulator (1) to the mounting bracket. Install nut (2) .
Install the O-ring seal and connect hose assembly (3) to accumulator (1) .
