3. Assemble servo piston assembly (43) as follows:a. Install rod (61) in piston (62).b. Install collar (68) and springs (69) and (70) on rod (61). Carefully compress springs (69) and (70), and install collar (71), keepers (67), retainer (66) and retaining ring (56). Slowly release the spring tension.c. Install collar (60) and springs (58) and (59) on rod (61). Carefully compress springs (58) and (59), and install collar (57), keepers (65), retainer (63) and retaining ring (56). Slowly release the spring tension.d. Install O-ring seal (64) on rod (61). 4. Install interlock valve (54) in cover (42), and install the four bolts.5. Install O-ring seal (55) in cover (42). 6. Install the O-ring seal on cover (50). Install cover (50) on servo piston assembly (43), and install nut (51).7. Install servo piston assembly (43) and cover (50) in pump housing (39), and install the four bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 25 N m (18.4 lb ft).8. Install cover (42) and the interlock valve in pump housing (39), and install the four bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 25 N m (18.4 lb ft).9. Position control valve (44) on the pump housing, and install the six bolts.10. Install shaft (22) and the bearing in pump housing (39).11. Install retaining ring (47), seal (46) and retaining ring (45) in the pump housing.12. Install adjustment screw (48) in the pump housing to its original depth, and install nut (49). 13. Install shim (31), spring (32) and shim (33) in cylinder block (38).14. Put cylinder block (38) in a press. Install a suitable piece of square steel stock against spring (32). Put slight compression on spring (32) with the press. Install retaining ring (34), and slowly release the spring compression. 15. Install two bearing races (24) in the pump housing.16. Install two bearings (25), two wires (26) and lever (27) on cradle (29).
Typical Example17. Clean the top surface of cradle (29) and lubricate bearings (25) with clean hydraulic oil.18. Use 12.7 mm (0.50 in) wide masking tape to hold the bearings and cradle together as shown.19. Loosely position the cradle assembly on the bearing races in pump housing (39). Separate the ends of the masking tape. While holding bearings (25) in place, pull the masking tape from around the two bearings. When the masking tape has been removed, position the two bearings firmly in the bearing races. 20. Install pins (41) in each side of pump housing (39). The pins must be installed with wires (26) centered in the pin slot. Install plug (40) in pump housing (39). The Lift-Off Limitation adjustment is controlled by the thickness of shim (37).21. Determine the Lift-Off Limitation Adjustment of the rotating group as follows:a. Place port plate (16) on a surface plate as shown. The flat side of the port plate should be against the surface plate. b. Install Tool (A) in the inside diameter of port plate (16) as shown. c. Place cylinder block (38) in position on Tool
