CYLINDER HEAD GP 1516278 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolts (1) and move the wire harness clear of the support.2. Remove regulator (3) and tee from the support.3. Fasten a hoist to the support as shown. Remove bolts (2) and (4) and remove the support. The weight is 90 lb. (41 kg). 4. Disconnect tube (5) from the pipe and move it clear of the engine. 5. Remove bolts (7), (6) and (10) that hold the clamps in place. Remove two bolts (13) that hold the clamps for the wire harness to the frame rails.6. Disconnect temperature sending unit (11) from the torque converter housing. Disconnect wire (12) from the temperature sending unit.7. If so equipped, disconnect wires (8) from the pressure sending unit on top of oil filter (9).8. Move all the wires clear of the transmission. 10. Disconnect oil lines (14) from the transmission oil cooler and oil lines (15) from the retarder oil cooler. 11. Fasten a hoist to the engine as shown. Remove bolts (16) and (17). Remove the engine. Weight is 2400 lb. (1080 kg).Install Engine
1. Fasten a hoist and put the engine in position on the support and torque converter housing. Install the bolts that hold the engine in place. 2. Connect oil lines (3) to the retarder oil cooler.3. Connect oil lines (1) and (2) to the transmission oil cooler. 4. Install temperature sending unit (9) in the torque converter housing. Connect wire (11) to the temperature sending unit.5. Put the clamps in place and install bolts (4), (6) and (8). Put the clamps in place and install the bolts that hold wire harness (10) to the frame rails.6. If so equipped, connect wires (5) to the pressure sending unit on the top of oil filter (7). 7. Connect tube (12) for the air cleaner indicator to the pipe. 8. Fasten a hoist and put support (13) in position and install bolts (17) and (15).9. Put the wire harness in position on the support. Put the clamps in place and install bolts (16) that hold the wire harness and clamps in place.10. Put regulator (14) and tee in position on the support and install the bolts that hold it in place.end by:a) install radiator guard and radiatorb) install power pack
