Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device to put the tilt cylinder into position. The weight of the cylinder is 61 kg (135 lb). Install pin (5) .
Install pin (4) and the cotter pin into pin (5) .

Put the rod assembly of tilt cylinder (2) into position against the bulldozer trunnion ball.
Put the shims and cap (7) into position.Note: Install an equal amount of shims on each side of the cap in order to obtain a clearance of 0.3 to 0.8 mm (0.01 to 0.03 inch) between the cap and the trunnion ball.
Install bolts (6) and the nuts.

Connect hose assemblies (3) to tilt cylinder (2) .

Put guard (1) in position. Install the bolts into guard (1) .Installation of VPAT Bulldozer Tilt Cylinder

Attach a lifting sling to the tilt cylinder. The weight of the tilt cylinder is51 kg (112 lb).
Install the tilt cylinder in the original location. Install pin (8) .

Install hose bracket (7) .
Use a 9U-5986 Eyebolt (6) to install the upper pin. Install the pin and remove eyebolt (6) .

Note: Install the shim pack that is located under retainer (4) .
Install the bolts and retainers (4) and (5) .

Install two hydraulic hose assemblies (3) to the tilt cylinder.

Install guard assembly (2) and bolts (1) .
