Software Table
Note A: See your district rep for additional information if the D10R engine contains injectors with serial numbers below 75000. See Illustration below.
Note B: The software offers a selectable throttle pedal feature that accommodates the new throttle pedal and the former throttle pedal. This feature is programmed using Caterpillar Electronic Technician. After the new software has been flashed determine the type of throttle pedal and version of Caterpillar Electronic Technician software and using the configuration menu, program the parameter appropriately. (See chart below) To determine the version of Caterpillar Electronic Technician, click on the "About Electronic Technician" in the Help menu. For Off-Highway Trucks, after the throttle pedal is reconfigured using ET, the key must be turned to the 'Off' position for approximatley one minute. This allows the ECM to power down, and power back up when the key is turned on. If this procedure is not followed, the engine may not achieve high idle.
The default setting is for the new throttle. The new throttle will seem to be more sensitive and reach full throttle sooner if the former throttle is selected. The former throttle will not have the full range of engine speed available if the new throttle is selected. Other software enhancements are:
The interval for engine prelubrication to timeout has increase from 15 to 17 seconds.
The pressure required to end engine prelubrication has been reduced from 28 kPa to 3 kPa. These changes will reduce the number of engine prelubrication timeout diagnostics and do NOT require user programming.
