Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove clamp (1).
Disconnect hose (2).
Remove tube (3), and O-rings.

Disconnect tube (4) and remove bolts (5).

Remove bolt (6), bolt (7), and clamp (8).

Remove bolt (9) and bolt (10).

Remove bolts (13).
Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (12). The weight of turbocharger (12) is approximately 37 kg (80 lb).
Remove bolts (11) and turbocharger (12) from the exhaust manifold. Remove the gasket. Installation Procedure
Install turbocharger (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten clamp (1) to 20 1 N m (15 1 lb ft). Tap clamp (1) lightly all around and retighten to 20 1 N m (15 1 lb ft).
