When the machine key switch is in the ON position, power is available to the switched fuses in the power distribution module (PDM) (1). Power is also available to fuses through the delayed switch power (DSP) relay inside the PDM. Switched fuses are identified as"FS" fuses. Fuses powered through the DSP relay are identified as"FD" fuses.Delayed switched power transfers from fuse"FD6" (2) to contact"C1-18" of power distribution module (1). From connector"C1", power transfers to terminal"J1-31","J1-39", and"J1-47" of screed ECM (6). The voltage input from fuse"FD6" provides main power for the screed ECM. The ECM is grounded at terminal"J1-13","J1-23", and"J1-57". Fuse"FD6" is rated 20 amp.Delayed switched power transfers from fuse"FD5" (4) to contact"C1-8" of power distribution module (1). From connector"C1", power transfers to terminal"12" of left display (10) and right display (15) on screed operator stations (9) and (16). The voltage input from fuse"FD5"provides the power for the displays. Fuse"FD5" is rated 20 amp.Switched power transfers from fuse"FS8" (3) to contact"C1-14" of power distribution module (1). Connector"C1" transfers power to terminal"J1-1" of screed ECM (6), and to terminal"11" of left and right displays (10) and (15). Power also transfers to terminal"2" of left keypad (11) and right keypad (14). The voltage input from fuse"FS8" provides the wakeup signal for the components. Fuse"FS8" is rated 10 amp.Vibratory Control Parameters
The vibratory system requires several parameters to be set to operate. The following parameters are adjusted and set by the operator.
The"Desired vibratory speed" parameter is adjusted at left screed operator station (9) or right screed operator station (16). The desired vibratory speed value is stored in screed ECM (6). The desired vibratory speed setting is shown on left display (10) and right display (15). Rotary multifunction dials (12) or (13) are used to adjust the vibratory speed setting. The desired vibratory speed range is limited between 700 rpm minimum and 3000 rpm maximum. The set value is saved over a machine key cycle.
The"Enable delay time" parameter prevents vibration when machine movement begins. The vibratory system enable delay time value is stored in screed ECM (6). The delay time value is adjusted at the tractor operator stations (not shown) or screed operator stations (9) or (16). The default enable delay time is 0.5 second. The maximum time setting is 60 seconds.
The"Vibratory switch position" parameter is used to set the status of the vibratory system on or off. A vibratory switch is on left display (10) or right display (15). Vibratory switches are also available on the tractor displays. The vibratory switch default setting is off.
The"Forward pave mode" parameter is met when the engine is running, the
