CYLINDER GP-BUCKET 1838914 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the front crankcase.2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 3. Fasten a hoist to radiator guard. Remove bolts (2) and guard (1). Weight of guard is 65 lb. (29 kg). 4. Install tool (A) to fasten hood (3) in position when bracket (4) in removed. 5. Remove eight bolts to disconnect tube assemblies (5).6. Remove eight bolts (7) that hold the shield assembly (6) to the radiator.7. Remove bracket assembly (4) from radiator. 8. Remove bolts (8) to disconnect elbow (9).9. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts. 10. Fasten a hoist to the radiator. 11. Remove twenty-four bolts (10) and remove the radiator. Weight of the radiator is 600 lb. (270 kg).Install Radiator
1. Check seals and gaskets for damage. If damaged, use new parts for replacement. 2. Fasten a hoist to radiator (1) and put the radiator in position. 3. Install bolts (2) to fasten radiator to frame. 4. Install elbow (3). 5. Put the two radiator shields (5) in place and install bolts.6. Install radiator bracket (4) and two tube assemblies (6) on the radiator. 7. Fasten a hoist to the radiator guard and install guard (7) in position.
