The 3T5098 Torque Converter Group went into effect with Serial Number 23T9751 and machine Serial Number 50W5365. It is a replacement for the 7G7663 Torque Converter Group, which is canceled.
Before the 3T5098 Torque Converter Group went into effect, a 3T4713 Impeller was used in the 7G7663 Torque Converter Group. The 3T4713 Impeller was used in torque converters with Serial Numbers 23T9708 through 23T9750. The 3T4713 Impeller has fewer holes in its flange, and it does not use 2L3650 Spring Pins.
The 3T4713 Impeller is still available for parts service. It is adaptable to earlier 7G7663 Torque Converters with Serial Numbers 23T6675 through 23T9707. The three 2L3650 Spring Pins must be removed from the hub if the new impeller is to be installed.
