CYLINDER BLOCK GP 1854789 - Caterpillar

start by:a) remove arm cushion (right side only)b) remove air conditioning and heating ducts (right side only) 1. Remove handles (1), (2) and (3) from the lever assemblies.2. Remove the five nuts and washers and remove console panel (4). 3. Remove cover (5) and seal (6) from the bulldozer and tilt control lever assembly. Remove the spring under the seal. 4. Disconnect rod ends (7) and (8) from the bulldozer and tilt control linkage. 5. Remove bolts (10) and remove bulldozer and tilt control linkage (9). 5. Remove the pin with a punch and hammer as shown that holds shaft (12) in place. 6. Remove shaft (12). Remove bulldozer and tilt control lever assembly (11). 7. Use tooling (A) and remove bearings (13) from the bulldozer and tilt control lever assembly (11). 8. Remove bolt (16) and lever (15) from the shaft. Remove the key from shaft (14). Remove shaft (14) from bracket (17). 9. Use tooling (A) and remove bearings (18) from bracket (17).Install Bulldozer And Tilt Control Linkage
1. Install bearings (1) in bracket (2) with tooling (A). Install the bearings even with the outside surface. 2. Slide shaft (5) through bracket (2). Install key (3) in shaft (5). Install lever (4) on the shaft and install the bolt that holds it in place. 3. Install bearings (7) in the bulldozer and tilt control lever with tooling (A). Install the bearings even with the outside surface. 4. Put bulldozer and tilt control lever assembly (8) in position on shaft (5). Slide shaft (9) through the lever assembly and shaft. 5. Make an alignment of the hole in shaft (9) with the hole in shaft (5). Install pin (10). 6. Put bulldozer and tilt control linkage (11) in position and install the two bolts that hold it in place. 7. Connect rod ends (12) and (13) to the bulldozer and tilt control linkage. 8. Install the spring, seal (15) and cover (14) on the bulldozer and tilt control lever assembly. 9. Put console panel (16) in place and install the five washers and nuts that hold it in place.10.
