The purpose of the left conveyor ratio dial is to allow the operator to control the speed of the left conveyor. The purpose of the right conveyor ratio dial is to allow the operator to control the speed of the right conveyor. The left and right conveyor ratio dials are located on the operator station panel. The buffers for the dials are located within the operator station panel. Each conveyor ratio dial has a single PWM input to the ECM. The position of the dial determines the amount of conveyor pump flow that passes through the conveyor motor. The ECM uses the signal from the ratio dial in order to determine the amount of current to send to the respective conveyor bypass solenoid. The position of the dial is inversely proportional to the flow through the conveyor bypass valve. The position of the dial is directly proportional to the conveyor motor speed. In the full counterclockwise position, the conveyor is at the minimum speed. In the full counterclockwise position, the conveyor bypass flow is the maximum rate. The left and right conveyor ratio dials are 1000 ohm, 2 watt potentiometers. The dial produces a zero to five volt signal as the dial is rotated from the minimum position to the maximum position. Each ratio dial has a corresponding buffer. The buffer converts the voltage signal to a PWM signal that is then sent to the ECM. The duty cycle of the PWM signal is proportional to the dial position. The frequency of the PWM signal is 5000 Hz. When a conveyor ratio dial is turned from the minimum position to the maximum position, the duty cycle of the PWM signal will vary from 5 percent to 95 percent. The signal for the left conveyor ratio dial connects to the ECM connector at contact 3.
