Procedure to Properly Disengage the Cable Assembly
Close the front window and locate the correct position with the auto-lock latch in the locked position.

(1) Rear header cover (2) Screw
Remove two screws (2) and remove rear header cover (1). Refer to Illustration 1.

(4) Set screw (Free position)

(5) Set screw (Lock position)
Remove set screw (free position) (4). Tighten the existing set screw (lock position) (5) in order to prevent the cable from suddenly winding into cable assembly (3). Refer to Illustration 3 and Illustration 4.
After confirming that the cable is not winding into the cable assembly, proceed to remove the cable from the window.Note: Use this information until the Service Manual is updated.
