It will be necessary to rotate the fan guards around the fan assembly in order to remove them from the machine.2. Remove four bolts (1), the washers and lockwashers that hold upper fan guard (2) to the radiator shroud. Remove the upper fan guard from the machine.3. Remove four bolts (4), the washers and lockwashers that hold lower fan guard (3) to the radiator shroud. Remove the lower fan guard from the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the fan guards.4. Check the condition of each fan guard. Make sure the fan guards are not bent or distorted. Look for broken welds. If the fan guards are damaged, use new parts for replacement.5. Install the fan guards in the reverse order of removal.6. Check the clearance between the fan guards and the fan assembly. Make sure the fan blades clear the fan guards at all locations around the fan assembly.
