Mount fuel filter group (17) onto the handrail assembly using bolts (18) and washers (19) .

Install hose (23) onto the water separator fitting on the bottom of the fuel filter. Route the hose through the opening in the platform.
Route hose (24) as shown in Illustration 10. Connect the hose at both ends using clamps (20) .Note: Secure hose (24) with the clipping components retained from the removal procedure. These components will reinstall into the previous locations.
Install 21 cm (8.25 inch) of flexible conduit onto hose (22) .Note: This step is only necessary if the machine is equipped with a VPF.
Route hose (22) as shown in Illustration 10. Connect the hose at both ends using clamps (20) .Note: For serial numbers after the serial number break, the existing fitting and O-ring will be used on the lower hose connection. For serial numbers before, a new 034-3679 Fitting and a new 238-5080 O-Ring Seal are used to make this connection.

Route harness (26) from the connection at the engine wiring harness to the connection at the fuel filter water level sensor. Connect the harness at connections (27) and (28) .
Install grommet (25) in place of the grommet removed in the removal procedure.
Secure harness (26) with straps (29) at the locations shown in Illustration 11.
Install clips (30). Clip (30) located on the right secures to a new 6K-8178 Clip with serial numbers before the serial number break. The clipping location is the same on serial numbers after the serial number break.Note: The bolt and washer are reused.Note: The 6K-8178 Clip secures hose (24) at this same location.

Install plate (35), spacer (34), clip (33), washer (32), and bolt (31) as shown in Illustration 13.
Secure the harness assembly as shown in Illustration 12 using cable straps (36) .
Secure fuel hose (22) with clip (37) and the retained hardware from serial numbers after the serial number break. Machines from before the break must use the following parts to secure the clip: one 8T-4908 Bolt , two 5P-4116 Hard Washers and one 5C-7261 Nut .Note: Reuse the retained hardware for serial numbers after the serial number break.
