Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

For a top mounted turbo engine, remove the heat shield from valve mechanism cover (1).
Loosen hose clamp (2) and hose clamp (4) for hose (3).
Remove hose (3) from valve mechanism cover (1) and breather assembly (5).
Cut cable strap (8) from hose (7).
Loosen hose clamp (6) and remove hose (7) from breather assembly (5).

If necessary, remove canister (11). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Crankcase Breather (Canister) - Replace" for the correct procedure.
Follow Step 7.a through Step 7.b in order to remove breather assembly (5).
Remove bolts (9) from breather assembly (5). Support the breather assembly as the bolts are removed.
Remove breather assembly (5) from the inlet manifold (10).
