The New Engine Replacement Order (NERO) process will be changing for the engines that are listed above. Note: The current process will be used until existing inventories are exhausted.The NERO processes are described below.
The replacement process for the 3126 Mechanical Engine (non production) (S/N: 1ZJ) will include the purchase of a short block 0R-9957 Cylinder Block Gp .
The replacement process for the 3126B Marine Engine (S/N: 3GS) will include the purchase of a 3126B long block from the Marine Center of Excellence. In order to replace the port engine, order 316-6086 Engine Ar. In order to replace the starboard engine, order 316-6085 Engine Ar .
The replacement process for the C9 Marine Engine (non ACERT) (S/N: CSN) will include the purchase of C9 Marine Engine (non ACERT) long block from the Marine Center of Excellence. In order to replace the port engine, order 315-8304 Engine Ar. In order to replace the starboard engine, order 316-8350 Engine Ar .
The serial number prefixes of the 3126B Marine Engine and the C9 Marine Engine (non ACERT) long blocks will not change.
All of the accessories that are not shipped with the short block or the long block will need to be reused or purchased. Once the engines are assembled, the dealer will be responsible for tuning the engine on a certified dyno.
