start by:a) remove bucket cylinderb) remove stick cylinder
BOOM CYLINDER SHOWN1. Remove the oil line, bracket, and elbow from the cylinder. Fasten a hoist and put cylinder (1) in position on tool (A).2. Move the rod out of the cylinder until the rod is fully extended. 3. Remove bolts (10) from the head. Remove the rod and head from cylinder (1).4. Remove bolt (2) and stop (3). Remove the stop from the bolt. Remove seal (14) from the stop.5. Remove nut (4), piston (15), stop (7), and head (17) from the rod.6. Remove ring (5) and seal assembly (6) from the piston.7. Remove seal (16) from stop (7).8. Remove seals (11), (12), and (13) from the head. Remove ring (8) and O-ring seal (9) from the head.Assemble Bucket And Stick Cylinders
1. Install ring (8) and O-ring seal (9). Install seal (13). Install seal (12) with sealing end toward head end of cylinder. Install seal (11) with sealing end toward rod end of cylinder. Put oil on the seals. Install head on the rod.2. Install seal (16) in stop (7) with sealing end toward closed end of cylinder. Install the stop.3. Install seal assembly (6) and ring (5) on piston (15). Install piston on the rod.4. Put oil on the threads of the rod and nut. Install nut (4). Tighten the nut to a torque of 2650 265 lb.ft. (366.5 36.7 mkg). Measure the clearance between stop (7) and piston (12). The clearance must be .055 .025 in. (1.40 0.63 mm).5. Install seal (14) in stop (3) with sealing end toward rod end of cylinder. Install the stop on bolt (2). Install the bolt. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 850 75 lb.ft. (117.6 10.4 mkg). Measure the clearance between the stop and bolt. The clearance must be .040 .025 in. (1.02 0.51 mkg).6. Install the rod in cylinder (1). Install bolts (10) with the rod fully extended. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 375 50 lb.ft. (51.9 6.9 mkg) on the stick cylinder only.
