Remove bolt (3) and position harness assembly (2) out of the way.
Disconnect harness assembly (5).
Remove nut (4). Position harness assembly (5) and the clip out of the way.

Illustration 5 g06296693Note: Bolts (6) at Locations (W) will remain in engine oil pan (7) until engine oil pan (7) is removed from the machine.
Remove bolts (6) from engine oil pan (7).

Position engine oil pan (7) as shown in Illustration 6.
Remove bolts (8), bolt (9), tube assembly (10), and the O-ring seal.
Position tube assembly (10) in the bottom of engine oil pan (7).
Remove engine oil pan (7) and discard the oil pan gasket.Installation Procedure
Ensure that the gasket faces of the cylinder block and the engine oil pan are clean and free from damage.

Note: Position tube assembly (10) in engine oil pan (7) before positioning engine oil pan (7) under the machine.Note: Install bolts (6) at Locations (W) in engine oil pan (7) before positioning engine oil pan (7) under the machine.
Install engine oil pan (7) and position engine oil pan (7) as shown in Illustration 8.Note: If a single piece oil pan gasket is being used, install the new single piece oil pan gasket before installing tube assembly (10).
Lubricate the O-ring seal for tube assembly (10) with clean engine oil.
Install the O-ring seal, tube assembly (10), bolt (9), and bolts (8).
Install a new multi-piece oil pan gasket on engine oil pan (7).

Apply Tooling (A) at Locations (X) for a width of 4 1 mm (0.158 0.040 inch). The engine oil pan should be installed within 10 minutes of applying Tooling (A).
Install engine oil pan (7).

Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 4 lb ft) in the torque sequence shown in Illustration 12.

Tighten bolts (6) again to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft) in the torque sequence shown in Illustration 13.

Install nut (4) and the clip.
Connect harness assembly (5).
Position harness assembly (2) and install bolt (3).

Connect hose assembly (1).
Fill the engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct filling procedure.End By:
