Installation Of Bowl Lift Cylinders And Hoses
(1) Install lift cylinders (1) and (2) with 8J7549 Pins (3) as shown. (2) Install lower 8J7549 Pins (4). Install four 8J7553 Bars (5) with 2M849 Washers and bolts. Install 3G184 Hose Assembly (6) and 9D6207 Hose Assembly (7) and connect hoses (6) and (7) to carry check hose (8) and carry check valves (9) and (10) on the lift cylinders. Install four 7J5535 Hose Assemblies (11) with seals, clamps, lockwashers and bolts. Install all plastic straps.Installation Of Elevator Motor, Hoses And Lines
(1) Install elevator guard assembly (1) with washers and bolts. Install elevator motor (2) with a 314392 Seal, lockwashers and bolts. (2) Install bracket (3) and support assembly (4). Install 8J5223 Tube Assembly (5) and 8J5224 Tube Assembly (6) with seals, flanges, lockwashers and bolts. Install clamp (7). Install two 8J5226 Hose Assemblies (8) with seals, flanges, lockwashers and bolts as shown. Install 8J5227 Hose Assembly (drain) (9) as shown. Install all straps as shown.Installation Of Floor Cylinder Pin
(1) Put the cylinder in alignment with arm assembly (1). Install 7J6892 Pin (2) and plate (3) with washers and bolts. Install plate (4) with washers and bolts.Installation Of Scraper Fenders
(1) Install bracket assembly (1) and install the fender as shown (both sides). Install flap (2) (both sides) as shown.Installation Of Windshield, Steering Wheel, Etc.
(1) Remove the plastic cover from the seat and turn the seat around to the correct position. Install the windshield with lockwashers, bolt and nuts. Install the steering wheel as shown. Install 9M7362 Cover (1) with three 7J5755 Spacers and 7J5777 Screws. (2) Install all control knobs as shown. Install muffler exhaust extension (2) with a clamp, bolt and nut. (3) Install precleaner assembly (3) and rear view mirror assembly (4) as shown. (4) Connect the batteries as shown.Adjustment Procedures
Get the engine ready to be started. Check the engine oil level, coolant and fuel. Fill the hydraulic oil tank (see the Lubrication and Maintenance Guide). Keep the oil in the hydraulic system at the correct level to prevent pump cavitation (vacuum bubbles). After the engine is ready for operation and the hydraulic tank is full, final adjustments can be made.
Be careful when steering adjustments are made, and during removal of air from the steering circuit. Make sure all hydraulic lines, fuel and electrical wiring have clearance when the tractor is turned from full left to right position.
(1) The steering system has been adjusted at the factory, but a complete check must be made. The left and right stops on the steering pivot have been adjusted to give a .56" (14) in and out movement on steering hydraulic valve spool (1) (see the Service Manual). (2) When the tractor is turned to a complete left or right position, there must be a minimum clearance of .13" (3.3) between the steering links and draft frame at locations (A) and (B). When steering adjustments are made, put the tractor/scraper on a level area with the bowl in a raised position.
