To prevent possible personal injury, do not disconnect any hydraulic lines until all the hydraulic pressure has been released from the system.
1. Start the the truck and put the dump body in the "UP" position.2. Install the dump body prop assembly (2) that holds the dump body in the "UP" position.3. Stop the engine and move the hoist control lever to release the hydraulic pressure in the hoist system.4. Disconnect hydraulic lines (1) from the hoist cylinder. 5. Put tool (A) in position as shown. Fasten straps to the bottom end of the cylinder.6. Remove bottom cylinder pin (3) and lower the cylinder to a vertical position. 7. Re-position tool (A) and then fasten the straps to the top end of the cylinder.8. Remove top cylinder pin (4). Remove the hoist cylinder (5). Weight of the hoist cylinder is 96 Kg (212 lbs.). Follow the above steps for the opposite cylinder. The following steps are for the installation of the hoist cylinder.9. Put the hoist cylinder (5) in position with tool (A) and install top cylinder pin (4).10. Re-position tool (A) and fasten the straps to the bottom end of the hoist cylinder.11. Put the hoist cylinder in position and install bottom cylinder pin (3).12. Connect hydraulic lines (1) to the hoist cylinder.13. Remove dump body prop assembly (2) that holds the dump body in the "UP" position.14. Lift and lower the dump body several times to remove the air from the hoist system. See THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL.
