Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install gasket (21), water pump (20), gasket (19), cover (18), and bolts (17) .
Install pulleys (16) .
Install belts (11) .

Install fan spacer (15), fan (13), and fan shroud (5) .
Install bolts (14) .

Place fan shroud (5) into position.
Connect hose (12) .
Tighten V-belts (11). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

Install plate (10) and bracket (9) .
Install bolts (8) .

Install bolts (7) to fan shroud (5) .
Install lower fan guard (6) and upper fan guard (6A) .
Install bolts (4) .

Install overflow tank (3) .
Install bolts (2) .
Connect hoses (1) .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" and Operation and maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".End By: Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
