Start By:a. remove bucketb. remove tilt link and leverc. remove tilt cylinder1. Put plugs in the tilt cylinder oil lines to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system. 2. Start the machine, and raise the lift arm assembly until the front and rear pin bores are level to each other as shown.3. Install tooling (A) under the lift arm assembly to support it as shown. 4. Remove grease fitting (3) from the pin.5. Remove bolt (1), washer (2) and the spacer from the pin. 6. Fasten a hoist to the rod end of lift cylinder (4) to support it.7. Install tooling (C) on the pin. Fasten a hoist to tooling (C) so it does not fall when the pin is removed.8. Remove the pin from the lift arm assembly.9. Lower the lift cylinder down on to the loader frame.10. Do Steps 3 through 9 for the lift cylinder on the other side of the machine. 11. Retract the lift cylinders as far as possible.12. Fasten lifting straps (5) and a hoist to lift arm assembly (6) as shown. 13. Remove grease fitting (7) from pin (8).14. Remove bolt (9), the washer and spacer from pin (8). 15. Install tooling (B) on the pin. Fasten a hoist to tooling (B) so it does not fall when the pin is removed.16. Remove pin (8) with tooling (B).17. Do Steps 13 through 16 for removal of the pin from the other side of the machine. 18. Remove the lift arm assembly. The weight of the lift arm assembly is 953 kg (2100 lb).19. Put the lift arm assembly on wood blocks (10) so access to the pin bores is possible when assembly takes place. 20. Remove lip-type seals (11) from the bores in the lift arm assembly. 21. Remove bearings (12) from the lift arm assembly.Install Lift Arm Assembly
1. Lower the temperature of all the bearings before they are installed in the lift arm assembly. 2. Use tooling (D) to install the bearings in the bucket pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of each bore. 3. Use tooling (E) to install the bearings in the lift cylinder pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of each bore. 4. Use tooling (F) to install the bearings in the rear of the lift arm assembly. Install the bearings in the center of each bore. 5. Use tooling (G) to install the lip-type seals in the bores in the lift arm assembly. The seals must be installed with lip of each seal facing toward the outside of each bore. 6. Put 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease in all the pin bores of the lift arm assembly.7. Put tooling (H) and lift arm assembly (4) in position. 8. Install rear pins (8) that hold the lift arm assembly to the loader frame.9. Install the grease fittings in pins (8). 10. Install the spacers, washers, and bolts (9) that hold pins (8) in place.
